It's difficult to get an understanding of a brand's personality from what's typed on a screen. 


You can get a vague sense perhaps, but a podcast allows you to showcase your personality in a more natural and effortless way.


#4 Listeners have bigger wallets

Podcast listeners have higher purchasing power and can become dedicated to your brand. According to a recent study, 54% of listeners are either “somewhat” or “much more” likely to consider buying from a podcast. Listeners are more likely to buy something they hear about on a podcast (43%) than on TV (33%).

However, when you're starting out, don't expect to generate eCommerce sales quickly with a podcast. 


Start by sponsoring some eCommerce podcasts that target your ideal customer. Iterate the messaging until sponsorship starts converting to profitable sales. 


Then start thinking about starting your own podcast.
