Shopify Stores : How to fix your failing Paid Ads?
Shopify Stores : How to fix your failing Paid Ads?
Pareto Principle
In eCommerce, the 80/20 rule means that most of your business – around 80% – probably comes from about 20% of your products
But be careful, don't over-simplify
Otherwise, you will be wasting money advertising bikinis in snowboarding season :-)
1. From your Shopify admin, go to Analytics > Reports.
2. Click Categories.
3. Click Sales
4. Choose "Sales by product variant SKU"
Make a list of top 20% products by sales amount:
In the last 2 months
In the last 13th & 14th months
Use common sense :-)
Remove from the list any products that don't qualify for the upcoming month.
Maybe the weather, event, fad, or whatever your gut & market expertise tells you.
Say, your list now has just 12% of products
Spend money on paid ads only for this 12% of products in upcoming month
Google ads, Shopify ads, Instagram ads, Facebook ads, Linkedin ads
Next month...simply repeat the same 4 steps to re-do your product ads
Note:
The "Sales by product variant SKU" is only available to Shopify plan & above.
